After parting ways with family in Kauai, we island hopped to Hawaii to meet up with some local friends. Once on the island, we reached out to Christen after discovering we couldn’t hike to active lava flow as originally planned – our main reason for visiting! Christen helped us navigate the alternatives and then booked us on a helicopter tour. When my wife caught a nasty stomach bug and had to miss the scheduled flight, Christen worked tirelessly to get her rebooked so she could still have the experience before heading home. In 2019, when my husband and I decided to return to Kauai with our toddler son, we knew we wanted to work with Christen again! As we had our toddler in tow, and had been before, we opted for a lower key trip. Christen helped steer us to the calmest beaches so our son could swim and play safely, as well as booked us a luau that was his (and thus our) highlight, a family photo session, and a mini stay at the Koloa Landing Resort where we immensely enjoyed the pool with waterslides, waterfalls and splash pad in which our son tirelessly played! She made our trip a vacation.

Christen helped my family in 2013, when 11 of my family members (4 families) decided to head to Kauai to meet up for a big extended family trip. Christen handled nearly every portion of our trip from rental vehicles, to accommodations to our daily activities. Our itinerary must have been a tricky one, as we had 4 families involved, with ages ranging from 10 to 66. Though we often wanted to do things all together, there were some excursions just small groups of us wanted to do. Christen handled it all with ease. 

As she’s a local, she knew all the best ways to accomplish our desires, booking us for the excursions that really gave us the best experiences, rather than just trying to sell us the most expensive ones. With Christen’s help, our families snorkeled with sea turtles, dined on a catamaran while sailing past the stunning NaPali Coast, learned how to surf, flew a plane (just my brother – but some of us bravely rode along as passengers!), experienced a luau and took a mesmerizing helicopter tour. She even helped us find the best place for a family hike through the Waimea Canyon. We ate at some of the best restaurants on the island, all with incredible views. 

We will absolutely be using Christen again the next time with come to the islands!

Where do I start, Christen is simply amazing! My trip to Kauai was back in 2007 but I still recall with such clarity the expertise she provided in helping me and my husband plan an unforgettable vacation. Christen’s warmth and friendliness made her so easy to work with and I’m convinced she knows every wonderful thing the island has to offer. We were hesitant about scuba diving but she paired us with an incredibly patient instructor she knew personally to ensure we would be comfortable making the plunge, and it was a blast! Her hiking, beach and restaurant recommendations were all truly exceptional. My only regret is not having more time to explore all the amazing adventures she offered! Highly recommend, you will be in good hands.
