FAQ

What is the best island to visit?

All of the islands are different and have their own personality, just like you. All have beautiful beaches, and lush tropical jungles. Some are just easier to access than others.

Here are a few highlights of each island:

Hawaii (Big Island)- Volcano National Park, Mauna Kea, secluded beaches, lush tropical rainforest

Oahu - Waikiki Beach, Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, world class surf breaks, Polynesian Cultural Center

Maui - Lahaina, Haleakala National Park, the Road to Hana, Iao Valley, exquisite and family friendly beaches

Kauai - NaPali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Hanalei, sunny Poipu, Wailua Falls

Molokai - Sea Cliffs, Kalaupapa

Lanai - Gorgeous Resorts and beaches

Choosing the best island for your Hawaiian vacation can be difficult. If you need help finding the right one for you feel free to give us a call, email or text. We are happy to help.

When is the best time of year to visit?

Really anytime. Hawaii’s temperate climate and warm ocean waters make Hawaii a great destination year round. If you want to avoid the tropical rainy season and bigger crowds the best months are usually late April, May, early June, September and October. If you want to experience whale season and see world class surfing the winter months November through March are best.

Where should I stay?

Each island offers an array of locations and accommodations. Hawaii has something for everyone, from romantic or family friendly 5 star resorts to rustic vacation rentals. Generally the South and West sides of the island will offer a dryer and more beach friendly stay. The North and East sides of the islands can experience more passing rain showers and are more tropical and lush.

Should I rent a car?

It really depends on what type of vacation you are wanting. If you are the type of traveler that enjoys relaxing by the pool or beach for the majority of your vacation you may not need a car. If you like to explore the scenery, hike and find new beaches then you will probably need a rental car for most of the islands, at least for part of your stay. Oahu, especially Honolulu has much more traffic, can more easily be navigated by public transportation and many of the island tours offer hotel pick ups. For the outer islands including Maui, Big Island (Hawaii) and Kauai we feel it is better to have your own car at least for part of your stay.
